Sautee Trail Restaurant in Clarkesville

I've eaten at the finest restaurants in America, this little place is as good as any! Finest French dip roast beef I've ever had. The fries were to die for!

RESPONSE TO OWNER: Paid cash and total seemed a bit high. Looked down at receipt coming out of machine and saw a dollar was added to my bill. I was puzzled and I should have asked about it then but didn't. Cashier was a short heavy-set brunette. It's not the dollar, it's the principle.ASK FOR RECEIPT. Usually very good service and food, but ask for your receipt when paying to see if a dollar was added to the bill without any apparent reason. May be an unposted restaurant policy or the cashier throwing a little unauthorized tip in there for herself. It's theft either way.

Sautee Trail Cafe is a stop we make sure to make any time we are in North Georgia. we typically always eat brunch there but basically their breakfast is outstanding. The people are extremely friendly and the atmosphere is quaint and relaxing yet a family environment. Highly recommend anything on the menu. Love this place

This place is so good. Friendly service and super quick. They also have a sign that says “if you’re in a hurry, tell the cook” which I think is awesome. Also, the bacon was PERFECT. Nice and crispy :) we will definitely be back.

We stopped in for breakfast on our last day of vacation and wished we had found it sooner. My husband and I both ordered the sampler breakfast which was about $9. We should have only ordered 1 and split it. There were eggs, bacon, homemade sausage patty, country ham, biscuit, pancakes and grits or hash browns. All of the food was great, friendly staff and casual atmosphere.

Excellent service, excellent food, and excellent prices. The pancakes are awesome! Portions are large and prices are fair. The ambiance is cute and cozy. It’s breakfast your mama or grandma would make you on the farm. Highly recommend this place!

Great bacon cheese burgers. I don't like their home fries so I usually get tater tots. The breakfast is good. Biscuits are big. I recommend trying the Todd's taters. I think it's an appetizer, but I usually get it for my entire lunch or supper. It's fried taters with hamburger meat, onions, peppers, and cheese all mixed together. Good stuff.

This cafe is amazing! We had the Philly Cheesesteak omelets with added mushrooms! So very happy we found Sautee Trail Cafe. You won't leave hungry and you'll have a go-to spot while you're in the area!!

This is a really good restaurant. I have eaten here about 15 times and never had nothing but a delicious meal every time with good service. If you want a low carb burger with no bread that's an option. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good food.

We selected this place as a convenient midpoint to meet a friend. We didn't expect too much as long as it served food. Goodness, we were blown away at the food and service. I had the Philly Omelet and it could have been one of the best Omelets I have ever had. They didn't have a breakfast kids menu, so we got two Samplers and split them between our kids. We received zero complaints on the food and we had plenty of leftovers to go. Our server was so kind and attentive. I definitely recommend this place.

I had a half rack of some of the BEST ribs from here today. They had lots of meat that was tender, juicy, and tasty. Great flavor! Loved the new cut of fries as well.

Absolutely fantastic breakfast. We had a party of 12 and got seated quickly. Service was top notch and so so friendly. The food was just great and came out very quickly. The best sausage I’ve ever eaten, eggs were perfect, and the biscuit and gravy was almost as good as my grandmother made for me as a child. Do yourself a favor and dine at the Sautee Trail Cafe!

The cooks know their menus and how to drain the Grease not the meat,change the Grease often as should and a clean grill,The coffee and waitresses are great..So nice it's reopened now..Offer a wide menu of different foods All very good..I give them a 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 waffle House doesn't hold a candle to Huddle house..Stop at Huddlehouse Steak and eggs are my favorite, along with cheese omelette cooked right..❌⭕️❌⭕️

We came here during our 4th of July vacation. We wanted to find a place to eat dinner to escape the Helen madness. We liked so much we came back the next night for dinner again. First night I got their catfish special and second night I got shrimp poboy. Both were great. Prices were reasonable and service was good too. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll definitely be back.

One of the best Western omelette meals around. Small quaint restaurant with good food and good service. Definitely will be back.

My wife and I had a great experience at the Sautee Trail Cafe. She had a BLT with onion rings and I had a BBQ pork sandwich with tots. The food was delicious. The tots seemed home made and were extremely crispy with just the right amount of salt. It's a cozy restaurant with a lot of charm. Highly recommended!

Definitely some of the best breakfast in the area, hands down, no questions. The prices are doable, but definitely not cheap or expensive. I got 2 cheesy eggs, with sausage, and biscuits and gravy for about 8 bucks. It was awesome, I'll happily be back when I'm back in the area!
